This module centers around a guided reflection about how well UDL was incorporated into the classroom practice. It reviews the components of UDL and gives actionable steps for integrating more UDL pedagogy in future lessons.

KNOWLEDGE-SKILLS-MINDSET
Knowledge:
- Teachers know that UDL pedagogy focuses on providing access for all students and eliminating limiting factors and the concept of the average learner in the classroom. Teachers understand the reflection cycle.
- Teachers can create a lesson plan based on the UDL pedagogy.
- Teachers can evaluate lesson plans and teaching practices for their adherence to UDL pedagogy and access to all learners. They can make changes based on these evaluations
- Reflecting on a practice allows a teacher to recognize what is going well and what needs to be added to or changed in the future. Reflection leads to growth as a teacher.
- UDL is a critical pedagogy to create universal access to students with identified with disabilities and ALL learners.
- Student learning preferences and profiles are varied; the idea of an “average learner” does not exist. Therefore, lesson plans that do not teach concepts in multiple modalities are not reaching all learners.
