Special Education Teachers need to be able to:
Following this module, participants should be able to assess and track behaviors in the classroom and implement de-escalation strategies to promote positive classroom interactions. Additionally, teachers should be able to use the strategies of collaborative problem solving as a behavior management tool.
- Implement thoughtful and productive classroom management strategies
- Teach students appropriate behaviors and strategies for calming down
- Hold meaningful conversations with students regarding behaviors
